Panakam

Panakam

When i think of ramanavami... Panakam comes to my mind instantly... Yummy thirst quencher. 

Temple near my place,  they used to celebrate Brahmotsavan.. On the tenth day we will pull "Ther"... So in my home we will prepare Panakam and buttermilk in bulks( in Huge buckets) and distribute it for people pulling the ther..... Nostalgic moments.... even our school will give us off :)...

 Ingredients


       Jaggery (Vellam)  (Powdered)     
 ¼  cups    
Water
1 Cups
Cardamon Pods (Crushed)

Method

 1. Mix the Jaggery and water. Let the jaggery dissolve in water completely.
 2. Then add the crushed or powdered cardamon. Refrige it and have it cool.

Note:
      You can add dry ginger powder, edible campor. Since i did not get those here i used only         cardamon. Add thulsi also.
