Bread Upma





Bread Upma


This is one of my favorite tiffin. It can be prepared in a jiffy. Whenever I am lazy to cook but hungry, I just make this and eat :).

Ingredients

Serves : 1           Time : 10 minutes

Bread 3 Slices
Onion 1
Green Chilli 1
Salt as per taste
Turmeric Powder a pinch


For Seasoning

Mustard 1tsp
Urad Dal 1 tsp.
Kadala Paruppu (Bengal Gram) 1 tsp.
Curry leaves 2-3 nos
Oil 1 tbsp.


Preparation
  • Cut the bread into small cubes
  • Chop the onion  and cut the chilli.
Method
  1. Heat oil in the pan and add Mustard. Once the mustard splutters, add Urad dal, Kadala Parupu and curry leaves. Add chilli also.
  2. Add chopped onion and salute till they become transparent. Then add Turmeric powder and salt.
  3. Finally add the bread cubes and salute for 2-3 mins till the bread cubes becomes slightly brown in color. Do not burn it.
